City Green Live's schedule runs Sister Hazel on May 22, Starship featuring Mickey Thomas on June 12, Boyce Avenue on July 17, and Patrick Droney on August 21. On the Sunday side, Concerts by the Springs runs Brother Maven on May 3, Canyonland featuring Michelle Malone on June 7, Radio 80's Band on July 12, Cat Ridgeway & The Tourists on August 2, and R&B, Inc. on September 6.
The gates open early on the Friday side. The Select. Around the corner from Sandy Springs Performing Arts Center and Sandy Springs City Hall, Chef Lorien Vilchez joined The Select as executive chef this spring, adding new items to the French-influenced continental menu the restaurant is built around.
Moxie Burger, incoming. The local burger group has a new location on the way to Chastain Market at 4600 Roswell Road, joining the 122,000-square-foot mixed-use development. That address matters for residents south of Abernathy who have been watching Chastain Market fill in tenant by tenant.
Wat Room. A new Thai restaurant billed as a "hidden dining experience" with menu items like curry duck and crab fried rice. Speakeasy-style rooms are unusual for this part of the map, and it is the kind of place that will get talked about before it gets written up.
